Summer University 2016

Summer University for young professionals (between 25 – 35 years) is tailored for representatives of ministries of foreign affairs, defence, as well as academic institutions and NGO´s, potentially media, in early stage of their professional carrier. The strategic goal is to contribute to the professional development of young leaders in the field of security policy and international relations from Ukraine, Central Europe, and potentially South Caucasus by providing them up-to-date information and analysis on most relevant issues of European and Trans-Atlantic security environment. It will also contribute to shape the opinions of future leaders and stakeholders in field of security, who will gradually occupy key positions in their countries state institutions (MoD, MFA), as well as public opinion formation.

The project is realized in a partnership with the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, Armed Forces Academy and the General Staff of Slovak Armed Forces in the premises of the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia.

Besides the lectures the excursion of Sliač Airbase of the Slovak Air Forces is planned, which is a key body of NATINEADS system in Slovakia.

The result of the Summer University will not only the broadening the scope of the participants and deepening their professional skills and knowledge, but also to build network of young leaders from Ukraine and Central Europe, as well as to contribute to creation of new generation of young leaders-professionals who are educated according to pro-Atlantic values.
