The 5th South Caucasus Security Forum took place in Tbilisi, Georgia on May 16-17 2018.
Organised by STRATPOL – Strategic Policy Institute, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Georgia, and the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation) the Forum managed to attract a record number of participants from various governments, embassies, international organisations, academia or think-tanks, as well as media representatives and the public.
The two-day conference encompasses more than 20 different program elements, including research presentations, panels, keynote speeches, workshops, and discussions. For the first time, we have added live streaming from the venue, attracting tens of thousands of viewers. Together, we have managed to realize a platform where some of the most pressing security issues of today and tomorrow were discussed.
This edition of the South Caucasus Security Forum pioneered a unique Young Leaders professional development program. Group of young participants from Central Europe and the Black Sea region has taken part in the South Caucasus Security Forum, where they attended workshops, participated in the conference, built new partnerships, and gained unique knowledge that they shared with the audience.
